In a mediacon that happened earlier, MPL Malaysia revealed more details on their upcoming Season 17.
First, the regular season venue will happen in Quill City Hall Convention Center
Second, the regular season will now be a double round robin format which means for a total of 14 matches per team like in the current regular season of MPL Philippines so far. The regular season will have 2 matches every Friday and Sunday and 3 matches every Saturday from April 3 to May 24, 2026.
On tournament format, 1 match win equals 1 point while 1 match loss equals 0 point. There will be five days in their upcoming playoffs which includes two best of 7 matches.
In Week 1, the opening match will be between the four-time and defending MPL MY champions Selangor Red Giants vs. Team Vamos
The eight participating teams are Selangor Red Giants, Team Vamos, Team Rey, RRQ Tora, Bigetron MY by Vitality, AC Esports, Invictus Gaming and Team Flash. You can view the official roster of the eight teams from the pictures
