MLBB Kicks Off a New Era in Thailand for Esports and More This 2026

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) is set to usher in a new era for creators, community, and esports in Thailand in 2026.

This milestone marks a major expansion driven by deep localization, creator and community empowerment, and a long-term commitment to building Thailand into a globally competitive esports nation.

This strategic move builds on MLBB's strong momentum in Thailand last year, where the game dominated all gaming charts in October, highlighting its widespread popularity and high levels of player engagement across the country.

In response to the strong support from Thailand's gaming community, MLBB is reinforcing its market entry strategy in Thailand, beginning with a long-term collaboration with GuyNgid, widely recognized as the most influential figure in the country's MOBA and mobile gaming ecosystem. With more than 9 million followers across major social platforms, GuyNgid will serve as MLBB's regional strategy partner, working closely with the brand on game promotion and content development.

Wei Guo, MLBB Thailand Country Manager at MOONTON Games, said: "Our partnership with GuyNgid is central to how we approach localization of MLBB, a global game. As a deeply trusted voice within the Thai gaming community, GuyNgid brings invaluable insight into player behavior, preferences, and culture. This collaboration allows us to curate a game experience that feels authentically Thai, while maintaining the global standards of MLBB as an international game title. It reflects our broader commitment as a global video game company to localize with purpose, relevance, and long-term impact. This partnership also reflects growing confidence among Thailand's creator community in MLBB's long-term vision for the market."

To further empower the local ecosystem, MLBB and GuyNgid will jointly invest over 20 million THB in cash rewards and incentives for Thailand's creator community. These initiatives will include creator contests, TikTok-focused programs, and long-term KOL partnerships, with more details to be announced.

On the esports front, MLBB has officially introduced the MLBB Super League (MSL) Thailand, marking Thailand's return to and reintegration within MLBB's global competitive ecosystem. MSL Thailand builds on the country's established esports heritage, bringing Thailand's teams, talent, and competitive culture back onto the international MLBB stage.

The inaugural season will feature eight invited teams: FULL SENSE, Bacon Time, Buriram United Esports, SOLYX, eArena, Tenacity, Hydra, and King of Gamers Club. More details will be unveiled during the M7 World Championship Grand Finals Day!

Hao Zhen Siew, Head of MLBB Thailand Esports, said: "Our ambition goes beyond launching a game or creating something new from scratch. We are focused on welcoming Thailand back into the global MLBB esports ecosystem and building on the country's rich competitive heritage. Through this reintegration, we are committed to developing a sustainable ecosystem, nurturing teams, players, creators, communities, partners, and future legends for the long term. In 2026, Thailand will be seen by the world not simply as a participant but as a returning global contender in MLBB esports and gaming."
