Honor of Kings (HOK) introduces its inaugural Filipino hero, Lapulapu, inspired by the national hero who defied colonial forces and became a symbol of courage and independence.
The hero will be available in the International Edition of Honor of Kings from 21st November, bringing the spirit of the Philippines to players worldwide.Lapulapu joins the battlefield this November as a tank support hero with exceptional survivability and crowd control capabilities. With his powerful knock-up skills and long-range mobility, Lapulapu is a game-changer in team fights, able to initiate battles as a fearless vanguard or shield his allies during critical retreats. But Lapulapu is more than just a hero. He’s a story of sacrifice, leadership, and the unbreakable will to protect one’s home.

Lapulapu’s in-game appearance is inspired by the iconic statue of the historical figure in the Central Visayas region. He wields a Kampilan sword in his right hand and a Kalasag shield in his left—both reimagined with bold, mythical elements. The Kampilan features a vortex energy core and wave patterns, while the Kalasag is adorned with the fierce visage of Bakunawa, a legendary sea serpent from Filipino mythology.
His design incorporates traditional 14th–15th century Visayan attire, with intricate patterns symbolizing the sun, waves, and scales, reflecting early Filipino animist beliefs and nature worship. The hero’s dominant red color palette embodies his fiery spirit, courage, and unwavering resolve.

From 21 to 27 November, players can participate in the Lapulapu launch event to earn Lapu Coins by logging in, playing matches, and using new heroes.
