The Moonton Student Leaders (MSL) Collegiate Cup (MCC) Season 2 Championship Series is set to take place at the MOA Music Hall this July 11 to 13, where the Top 8 collegiate teams from across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will compete in a high-stakes, live tournament experience.
At the heart of it all is a chance to etch their names in the Philippine MLBB esports history and earn a direct invite to MLBB Development League Philippines (MDL PH) Season 6—a first-of-its-kind opportunity for student players.Since its launch in 2023, the MSL Collegiate Cup has become the official collegiate esports platform of MOONTON Games in the Philippines, symbolizing the “Pamantasang Lakas”—the pride, passion, and power of student representation in esports. More than a tournament, the MCC is building the next generation of MLBB pros, esports leaders, and campus communities.
Ken Ryan Lee, MOONTON PH Game Community Lead, said, “Since its inception in 2023, the MSL Collegiate Cup under the Moonton Student Leader program has served as more than just a competitive platform—it has become a cornerstone for nurturing the next generation of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang professionals and campus leaders. Through MCC, we are proud to uphold the values of Pamantasang Lakas by fostering school pride, passion for esports, and meaningful student representation across the Philippines.”
From Classrooms to Champions
The MCC is more than a competition—it’s a journey from grassroots to pro. The Top 8 teams have been flown in to Manila all expenses paid, giving them a professional-tier experience in one of the country’s top venues. During the Championship Series, these student-athletes will also undergo exclusive crash courses and mentorship sessions with current MPL Philippines personalities like Jamespangks, MP The King, Coach BONCHAN, Coach Pakbet, and Chantelle, deepening their insights into pro-level gameplay and careers in esports.
Pamantasang Lakas – School Pride in Action
More than 182 schools across the nation joined MCC Season 2, reflecting the surge of collegiate esports culture. The Top 3 schools will not only take home a share of the ₱400,000 team prize pool, but will also receive ₱100,000 in grants directed towards student development or esports programs, reinforcing the MCC’s commitment to long-term campus impac
