MPL Philippines is indeed proving that the competition is more difficult and it proved in S15 Playoffs Day 1 yesterday
In the first series, many were expected that Onic Philippines will be a "walk in the park" series when they got a the 2-0 series advantage over Twisted Minds but looks like the "poison" that Coach Bon Chan worked in the next the 2 games that they tied the series with unexpected picks including a Baxia roam in Game 4. Those 2 games went at almost 30 minutes and Onic only got 1 lord dance.
It was a sigh of relief when the Sonics got the Game 5 to seal their match-up vs. Aurora later at 3 pm. K1ngkong was the most consistent in the team including a Game 5 MVP using Lancelot.
In the post match media interviews and exclusives, Coach Ynot commended Coach Bon Chan for the series especially on those picks that it can really go the distance in case they can go to international matches. Kelra was not that dominant in the series that he rated himself in 3 out of 10 in my exclusive interview. He promised that he will be more aggressive and have better thinking in their match later vs. Aurora
In the second match, Team Falcons also went to the distance until Game 5 versus TNC. The Phoenix Army got Game 1 as BennyQT led the charge. FLCN got the next two games to almost close the series but TNC tied it in Game 4. Game 5 finally got it for the Green Falcons in 16:52 game time to face Team Liqiud PH later at 7 pm
Kyletzy got the Game 5 MVP honors with 6/0/8
