Two matches brought down to close the Week 3 of MPL Philippines S15 and two different stories came in.
First off in the second match. After their quick loss to TLPH in their previous encounter, Onic Philippines was back in the win column as they won 2-0 over the only winless team AP Bren in the tournament.
K1ngkong was the Game 2 MVP with his Joy at 5./3/6. From the post match interviews, Coach Ynot was asked on if the win is the start of their momentum and he answered "could be" as he shared that the team had a talk after the loss last Saturday vs TLPH. On Kelra's side, he only rated his performance at 3.5 out of 10 as there will be some improvements.
The first match was the more anticipated one as seen in early sold out status of battle of former NXPE teammates Renejay and Yawi in Aurora vs. TNC. The northern lights shine early in Game 1 but the Phoenix Arrmy was able to tie the series.
Renejay was the MVP in Game 3 with his S15 signature Hylos at 1/1/5. From the post match media interviews, he told that they got Yawi in mind games as they really thought that the hitman will prioritize Chou in picks
In the said portion, we also got the chance to talk to Edward in his latest 1,000 kills tournament. He confessed that he felt "bitin" in their March 15 match that he though that he will gonna get the said milestone and he's ready to answer that anticipated question. He never expected it especially for his exp lane position. When I asked what's next after that - he jokingly said "1,000 deaths" which is true as he is only 17 to reach that and it is quite possible to happen within the season
Week 4 of MPL Philippines Season 15 continues this March 21 to 23 with another anticipated match-up between most of former Echo players in TNC versus Team Liquid PH this Friday and the battle of undefeated teams between TLPH and Aurora
