One of the most affordable 5G-capable smartphones in the Philippines, our verdict on Smart ZTE Blade A75 5G

It was years for us since we encountered a ZTE phone and surprised that we did not have that much of a learning curve in MyOS 13, the phone's own take on Android 14. Happy to share that it has an app drawer right in your first boot of the phone unlike others that you have to dig down in the settings menu. With the given Unisoc processor and 4 GB RAM, it was good enough for us for moderate multi tasking.
The said custom OS also has their own take on the "notification capsule" but it has one new feature that is not in others - identifying the name of the Bluetooth audio device and it's battery capacity in numbers
On connectivity, 5G and LTE by either Smart or TNT sims are working (as the phone is locked by Smart network) are very good as well for calls, texts, Bluetooth and GPS.
On audio as we have to consider it's price, the speaker is only at the top which is also the same when you listen to calls. It lacks on bass but good thing, it was a bit better when you listen it on a Bluetooth audio device
On battery, it's 5,000 mAh battery lasted for us for more than a day in mixed moderate to heavy usage.
The 18 watt wired charger had the phone from zero to 100% in around 2 hours
On camera, the output for photos and videos was more than enough for social media on daytime environment. Might be from the chosen SoC, the image processing speed will be around a second when you activate HDR or going to night mode photos.
The strengths of Smart ZTE Blade A75 5G for us were connectivity, UI, battery, looks and the price. Acceptable for us was the camera output. Could have been better is the audio and how I wish that ZTE took the standard 1 meter length on it's USB cable
Smart ZTE Blade A75 5G price is even better from Php 5,450 to Php 4,990. The device for us is 4 out of 5.
