In time with an important event within it, we decided to drop by and dine in one of the emerging restaurants in Batangas City, Forkie's
Not going to the usual and growing number of fastfood options around the city, we chose this one as it one of the nearest from Balagtas Exit of Star Tollway and that they recently formed a meet and greet with some of known vloggers around Batangas province - we did some networking there.
According to a recommendation of one of the invited vloggers, burgers and steak were the headliners of the resto but our tummy was not in that thing yet but looked in their rice meals so we chose their lemon pepper chicken. We only ordered a bottled water to save later on for our coffee cravings (and might be a sign to come back there soon with their vast food line-up)
Most of the invited vloggers were present at the venue including probably the province's most popular mukbanger Jigs TVE. They also gave some time to other guest vloggers (yours truly too) to be on the mic for some intro but we chose to describe more as a content creator
The space was quite big and can accommodate around 30 plus people, good enough partking space and very fast Smart 5G from our speedtest (will put in a video soon from our separate Youtube channel soon) . The resto also accepts GCash payment thur QR which we did in a breeze.
Going back from our food, we were surprised that their lemon pepper chicken had that sort-of veggies on the side. The viand itself has the right amount of sauce for it's shredded chicken and the lemon pepper taste was on the right side.
As we were not on the line-up of guest vloggers, good thing that Facebook-based motovlogger/ food vlogger Mad Doc Moto (yes, he's also a doctor by profession) shared a hefty amount of the resto's Crispy Kare-Kare (not the official form as you can see in the photo) but the peanut sauce and pork belly were very good that it was already our early dinner that night.
Here is the Forkie's menu as of November 2024.
