M6 Tourney Draw, Carnival and More Revealed

The M6 World Championship (M6) is shaping up to be #GreaterThanEver! MOONTON Games, the developer and publisher of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), today conducted the M6 tournament draw and announced cooperatives with the Malaysian government, carnival activities, and an orchestral performance by the Kuala Lumpur Orchestra.

Held with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS), Esports Integrated (ESI), and Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), the "M6 Unveiling: Greater Than Ever" event was hosted offline at the Spacerubix sports complex in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and broadcasted live to millions of viewers.

The M Series is the most prestigious accolade in mobile esports and one of the world's most popular esports events. The M6 is its sixth edition and will be held later this month in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia's capital city, where the world's top 23 MLBB teams will contest for the ultimate glory and lion's share of the USD 1 million prize pool.

The M6 draw was conducted live during the "M6 Unveiling: Greater Than Ever" event, with the eight teams from the Wild Card Stage (held from 21 to 24 November) and the 15 teams from the Main Stage (held from 28 November to 15 December) learning their respective match-ups.

Fans will be especially excited to see Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Indonesia Season 14 champions, Team Liquid ID, take on the MPL Philippines Season 14 champions, Fnactic ONIC PH in the first round of the Swiss Stage. Both teams are tournament favourites; this showdown will give one team early momentum and bragging rights.

Please see below for the tournament draw and schedule.

MOONTON Games also announced that the Grand Finals will open with an orchestral performance by the Kuala Lumpur Orchestra, a first for MLBB esports. The performance was arranged in collaboration with Kuala Lumpur City Hall (Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur, DBKL) and the Malaysia Digital Economy (MDEC).

Besides being a showcase of the world's best MLBB talent, the M6 will also have a carnival at Axiata Arena from 13 to 15 December, offering a host of family-friendly booths and activities. Entry to the carnival will be completely free, with more details on registration to be provided at a later date.

Malaysia's Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, YB Adam Adli, delivered a speech at the event praising the impact of esports. He said: "Esports has grown tremendously, both globally and here in Malaysia. Our games industry has seen an average growth of 8.9% annually since 2020, with over 50% of Malaysians now actively engaged as gamers. This robust ecosystem offers diverse career pathways, from professional athletes to team owners, content creators, and event organisers."

He cited Soloz as an inspiration for those who want to enter the esports ecosystem. He said: "A prime example is our own Soloz – once a national MLBB athlete, now the most-watched Malaysian creator and co-owner of Team Vamos, who will proudly represent Malaysia in M6."

The Deputy Minister endorsed MOONTON Games and the M6, reaffirming that "the government is dedicated to empowering esports companies, ensuring that Malaysians can fully embrace the opportunities offered by this dynamic industry."

His support builds on the Malaysia government's recently announced MYR 20 million Madani Budget 2025 allocation to enhance the esports ecosystem, which he said follows "the success of the Selangor Red Giants at the Mid-Season Cup 2024 in Saudi Arabia, where they won Malaysia's first major international MLBB title," and revealed that this allotment was due to the recognition "that our youth need access to these resources to compete internationally, and our commitment ensures that Malaysia continues producing world-class talents in esports."

Meanwhile, The Philippines sends MPL Philippines champions and runner-ups namely Fnatic ONIC PH (FNOP) and Aurora MLBB (RORA) as the delegates to the world's biggest MLBB esports tournament of year, to vie and secure its 5th world championship belt.
