A total of 8 BO2 series games divided by two streamis, that was the crazy yet fun Day 1 of MSC 2024 Group Stage earlier in Riyadh.
Many eyes are on PH teams Liquid Echo and Falcons AP Bren as they got the expected series wins from both of them,
Falcons AP Bren scored a 2-0 series win over Keilvj and the rest of Xianyou Gaming. Game 1 was a smooth ride but they had some bumps from start to mid parts of Game 2 but being a champion team, they had an opening in the late game to do the said result.
Unlike FCAP,, Liquid Echo (with the loudest cheers in the venue in the opening introductions of all 16 teams in the group stage) simply did a "liquid stampede" to Coach Lyrick's Twisted Minds. It was a variety of attacks from Game 1 Baxia and Game 2 Ling led by Karltzy. The team expressed happiness as they met a lot of Pinoy fans inside the venue as they revealed it in their post match interview.
On some of the matches, Fnatic Onic also had a no-surprise 2-0 series win over Team Falcons. A shocker indeed on 2-0 wins of NIN Flash over Fire Flux as well as Falcon Esports over Midnight's Cloid 9. The last match in Stream B between SRG and See You Soon had a little bit of a drama before the start of Game 1 as SYS appealed for redraft as the game had autopicks on their 4th and 5th heroes as the time expired. It has an hour before Game 1 resumed whicb the series got tied at 1-1 after 2 games. You can see the rest of the standings at the pic below.
Day 2 will be start on only 4 series games and no PH teams will play, TLPH will have 2 games on July 5 while FCAP will have a 3-day rest to have 2 games on July 7.
