Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Women's Invitational (MWI) 2024 has officially released its trailer video titled, "Time To Shine", starring the team captains and members of participating international teams.

MWI 2024 is featured in the maiden Esports World Cup hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with one of the biggest-ever women's tournaments' prize pools worth USD 500,000.

The video highlights renowned team captains of female MLBB teams such as Team Vitality's Vivian "Vivi" Indrawaty, known as the formidable "Indonesian Mother of Tanks", who has proven her gaming prowess with her multiple achievements in the world of MLBB esports. Standing toe-to-toe with her is Smart Omega Empress' Mery "Meraaay" Vivero, a renowned roamer in her own right. Both have marked their names through their victorious participation in regional MLBB tournaments such as MLBB SEA Games and now, the upcoming MWI where fans are anticipating their thrilling rivalry.

Eric Wu, MOONTON Games Esports Senior Partnerships Manager said: "Gone are the days when aspiring girl gamers do not have role models. With MWI 2024, we hope to give them their time to shine and showcase their talents to a global audience on the Esports World Cup stage. These 12 women’s teams bested hundreds of teams worldwide, overcoming numerous challenges to reach this stage. We are thrilled to see them seize the opportunity to be hailed as one of the best women's MLBB teams and take home the life-changing share of the prize pool."

Time to Shine on the World Stage

MWI 2024 is set to feature new faces and old rivals from 12 international teams that have the potential to raise the level of competitive play for MLBB Esports. Team Vitality, who had recently acquired Bigetron Era's winning roster, will be joining Gaimin Gladiators Homegirls and Tidal Legends Gaming in Group D. On the other hand, Smart Omega Empress will be with Net Angels and Dreammax Girls in Group B.

Cambodia's CFU Serendipity will join Falcons Vega and Cloud 9 in Group A, while Zino Lilies, Victory Song Gamers, and Falcons Vega Mena will be in Group C.

Starting from the Group Stage, the teams will play a single round-robin, BO2 match series, from 24 to 25 July. The top two teams of each group will proceed to the Playoffs Stage, while the team from each group with the lowest points will end their Playoffs contention.

A playoff draw will be conducted where the four top teams from each group will be placed together into pool 1, while the four 2nd-placed teams will be placed into pool 2. The Playoffs Stage starts from 26 to 27 July. The first day of the Playoffs Stage will be in a single elimination BO3 format.
