It's no secret that not that much attention here in female esports athletes locally. With the upcoming Mobile Legends Bang Bang's MWI (wome's invitational), it was time that Silab was formed
Silab is a movement that will empower more of the female esports athletes in the PH scene. The list of officers are
MPL PH caster Chantelle which is now serve is as Community Gaming Account Manager and Community Operations Lead, Queen Wasabi (Liga Aadarna Commissioner), Jang which is a former esports athlete and current PR manager of Fantech and Brand Marketing Exec for Easy PX and Dani Rogacion (Overdrive Studios Founder and CEO, Metasports CCO)
The road to MWI will start this April 21 which 4 MPL PH teams composed of AP Bren, Onic, TNCZ4 and RSG will go on a BO2 round robin then the losers will be seeded to Stage 2 of qualifiers. The top 2 teams will be on BO3 finals which the winner will advance to Silab: Road to MWI finals.
The stage 2 of qualifiers can accommodate up to 256 teams. It will be an open qualifier in BO1 knockout from April 28 to 29. May 5 will be the group stage on a BO1 round robin format. Knockout stage will be on the following day which two winners will advance to Silab: Road to MWI finals.
Silab: Road to MWI Finals teams will be a battle of 4 teams: Smart Omega (direct invite), the franchise owner's qualifier and 2 Silab qualifier teams in a BO2 round round robin. The top 2 teams from there will be on a BO3 finals (which will be the only time that it will happen offline) and the champion will be the Philippines' representative to MWI.
