Probably a month before we see the upcoming season of MPL Philippines, Moonton goes to the campuses earlier and for next week as they brought in the MLBB Community Cup in NU Laguna in Calamba City.
It was a 2-day event but we managed to be in Day 2 happened yesterday, February 2 which 8 MLBB teams from the said campus battled it out and it went down to two between NUAG Mystic and NUAG Instinct in a BO5 finals affair.
Before that, we saw a number of activities on site from photo wall, the sort-of freedom wall which they can write their shoutouts or anything. With the tour backed by Xiaomi Philippines, there were a number of prizes that they gave away from MLBB Venom skins, diamonds, Xiaomi sling bags and more products. There was also a booth showcased of their latest Redmi Note 13 series.
There was also an educational talk to students on the current PH esports scene especially on MLBB and the value of education if you want to be in the gaming industry

NUAG Instinct were the runners-up of the tournament which lasted for four games. We are not seeing this in MPL Philippines but it was a refreshing take that we saw a team of 4 guys and a girl. As champions and will represent the school to face the champs of upcoming TIP QC leg happening this Feb. 5 to 6, they were awarded 5,000 diamonds and Xiaomi goodies. The MVP of the tournament, Reverse took home a Redmi Note smartphone.
The grand face-off of the qualified teams will happen this February 8.
