After a number of buzz on the schedule, we finally confirmed the official schedule of the upcoming M5 World Championshjp which is set mostly in the Philippines.
Before it will arrive in the local shores, a wildcard phase will be held in Malaysia from November 23 to 26. The 2 highest teams from the wildcard round will be flying to the Philippines.
December 2 to 7, 2023 will be the group stage which aside from our top 2 local teams, expect squads from Northern Africa, Middle East, Turkey, Myanmar, Cambodia, US, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brazil and Singapore will be there. The top 2 teams of each group will be joining in the knockout stage which is set from December 9 to 16.
From there, 16 teams will be divided in four groups. Knockout stages will be on best of 5 and finals will be on December 17 2023 in a best-of-7 affair. The champion will get a huge sum out of USD 900,000 prize pool
As of writing, there is still no official words on the venue (or venues) on M5 World Championship in the Philippines.
