No doubt that even locally, esports journalism is getting bigger as Moonton and MPL Philippines Press Corps. bring the ongoing journalism workshop to select college students.
Divided into three parts all in Sundays which started earlier in the morning of October 1 until October 15 2023, students from Ateneo de Manila University, University of the Philippines-Diliman, University of Sto. Tomas, Adamson University, Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Lyceum of the Philippines University, National University-Laguna, and Cavite State University will have this experience and learning.

Here are what the students to expect in the next two Sundays:
October 8 2023 - Uncovering The Right Angles and Engaging Side Stories (John Ubaldo, Tiebreaker Times and Jargons of Esports Writing (Calvin Trilles, ONE Esports)
October 15 2023 - Mobile Journalism (AC Coloma, ABS-CBN News Online) and Media Ethics (Michelle Lojho,, Philstar.com)
Participants will also have chances to watch MPL Philippines regular season games live. Aside from that, those at the top will have Opus X green edition headsets from Razer Gold and the highest achiever will bring home a SecretLab chair. MPL PH's official telco partner Smart will also give premium tote bags to all participants. To formalize it, a graduation ceremony is set at the upcomin M5 World Championshop which will happen here in the Philippines.
