vivo V27 Unboxing, Review Philippines (Official Commercial Unit)

It took a while for us for this chance but it is different as we got the official commercial unit of vivo V27 for our review.

In case you are still not subscribed to Ron Not The DJ Youtube channel or missed this, we already unpacked the official commercial unit of vivo V27 in the Philippines by this video below.

We never got a chance to review the vivo V25 so we are coming from V23 as our comparison. The phone has some new in our eyes and experience inside. Dimensity 7200 which is a bit more powerful compared to our main driver right now with Dimensity 1300 with 8 GB RAM, 256 GB storage and Funtouch OS 13 in the mix. Smooth as butter indeed in most of the multitasking apps and video rendering apps except for one thing that we will discuss later. The pulldown menu did not have that much changes compared to V23. Out of 256 GB storage, it will gave you around 245 GB of remaining space.

On connectivity, we had no problems on setting it on dual 5G, WiFi, GPS., Bluetooth, calls and texts.

On battery, the phone has 4600 mAh battery which it was a good 18-hour powerhouse for us in heaby usage. Charging it on its 66 watt wired changer can go this device from 0 to 100 percent in less than an hour

Bit surprising that it had almost no difference in Antutu when we set the phone both the display refresh rate in both 60 and 120 fps at over 715000 score.

On camera set-up, the back camera grill offers 50 + 8 +2 MP rear shooters. The main and ultrawide shooters did very good output except on those 10x zoom photos. From the unit that we played during it's local launch down to this official commercial unit that we borrowed, we noticed that there's a bit of hard effort when you are trying to zoom the camera from 1x to 5x using screen pinching. The 50 MP selfie cam was great from our liking as long as set it to default. We had some video sample from our video here

Most of the time, vivo's V series has a record of not being price friendly except for this one that it has more value in the overall specs sheet compared to Oppo's recent offerings in the mid 20k and that Honor 70. Display, camera, UI, performance and battery were the strengths of this device. We loved this one over V25 and V23. I just hope that vivo Philippines will finally fix that weird thing that we experienced in the main camera..
