In case you missed it, you can check out our hands-on video on the official commercial unit of Samsung Galaxy A54 below:
Galaxy A54 is parading their One UI 5.1 based on Android 13 with Exynos 1380 processor. The base variant is the one that we got with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. Even though that there's an 8 GB RAM version of it, we almost not that shorthanded in terms of overall performance in multitasking especially that we used this one for video rendering for our Youtube videos lately. Samsung continues to have this custom Android UI that clean and almost got no glitches.
Connectivity was fine to us overall to us from calls, texts, 5G. Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi. Such that compared to it's counterparts, it has the hybrid dual sim set-up
Coz it is quite a new, homegrown processor, we were curious on the numbers on Antutu and we got it at over 610,000 when set on 60 Hz display refresh rate while it was at over 602,000 when it was on 120 Hz.
On battery, Galaxy A54 was quite power efficient. The 5000 mah battery gave us 1.25 days in heavy usage on 8 hours screen on time. As the phone only supports up to 25 watt wired charging, we need around 105 minutes in average to fully charge it. By the way, we had to use a third-party charger in this as the official packaging does not have a travel charer.
On cameras, Samsung Galaxy has 50 MP primary, 12 MP ultra wide and 5 MP macro at the back while having 32 MP for the selfies. The cameras were above than average if to rate on various lighting and contrast situations that we put in. Surprisingly, the videos were a-ok to espeially that the ultra wide video does not put in that obvious "warp-in" view. Color accuracy was on point

The base variant of Samsung Galaxy A54 is currently prices at Php 24999 which is for a rare time that it is more affordable and almost got the same processing power as to Honor 70 vivo V27 has something to tell with the same price. Galaxy A54 can be your thing if you are not a fan of curved display and you just want it flat, the goodness of One UI, processing power and well-rounded set of cameras for a high midranger. It was just a miss that this phone does not have an official charger inside plus they chose to do a hybrid dual sim set-up
Samsung Galaxy A54 for us is 4 out of 5
