Lenovo Yoga 6 Gen 7 Laptop Unboxing, Review

For the second time, Lenovo Philippines allowed us to check one of their latest Yoga laptops to check - Lenovo Yoga 6 Gen 7.

Here is what the box of it's official commercial unit looks like:

Currently there are two variants available in the market. The one that we got is the highest version with Ryzen 7 5700U 8-core 16-thread processor, 16 GB soldered DDR4 LPDDR4X 2666 Mhz RAM, 1 TB M.2 PCIe 3.0 SSD, micro SD slot, 13.3 WUXGA 1920 x 1200 display with Dolby Vision, 2 USB-C ports (1 for power only with 45 watts, one for data) 1 HDMI port, 2 USB-A ports, aluminum top and ABS bottom body, micro SD reader, audio jack, microphone, fingerprint reader, Windows Hello, Windows 11 OS, FHD webcam with IR and privacy shutter and 59 Wh battery. The package comes with a protective case and touch pen

Coz it's Yoga, you can do lots of modes like standard laptop mode, tent mode and tablet mode.

For display, it can really go to 0% brightness up to what we can actually endure at 65% brightness.

With it's backlit keyboard, we were able to do some blog posts on this laptop even at low lighting.

Charging it with it's 45 watt USB-C port, it took us over an hour to fully charge this device. In our real time mixed usage from doing blog posts, mixed gaming and media consumption, we got at around 6 hours in one full charge.

On benchmark, Cinebench R23 brought in CPU multi core at 6,925 and 927 on CPU single core. On gaming, we did some Valorant and it ran on FHD high at around 90 fps. We also did some OBS recording on 2500 kbps CBR mode and good thing that it's on-board graphics can handle the recording/rendering as it reached at only 75 degrees on temperature

On sounds, we have no complains on quality as it was on balance mode either on speakers, TWS earphones on Bluetooth or thru audio jack. Wired headphones and speakers worked best with Dolby Atmos option but it depends on if you have a high quality device.

For this variant, Lenovo Yoga 6 Gen 7 is selling in for Php 64,995. Typical Yoga pricing but with the function, processor, RAM, sound and display, it was one of my fave compact laptops that I checked. How I wish that they did not solder the RAM for possible expansion
