Huawei Philippines newest watch is not round but it's compact size made us say yes to our first smartwatch check with them with Huawei Watch Fit New

Huawei Watch Fit New has four colors to choose from but Huawei PH knew us as they sent the black color. Just like in Huawei Band 6, pairing it with a phone (yes, we used a non-Huawei Android phone on this one to give some challenge) is quite easy as long as you have Huawei Health app ready. With this, we experienced better compatibility on most apps especially on Google Messages which is usually the problem on some counterparts and even some smart bands if you do not have the same brand of phone and smart band/watch.
No complains absolutely on the 1.64 inch AMOLED display as it was quite a joy to read more notifications especially for long text messages even at noon time
Coming from Huawei Band 6, we were delighted that Watch Fit New has all-day SpO2 monitoring (aside from real-time heart beat monitoring) feature on it which we activated via Huawei Health app. Compared to without and with all-day SpO2 monitoring, we got around 10 days of battery life which is a-ok compared to their advertised 12-day battery life. Charging it from 0 to 100% only took us for less than 30 minutes as it can support up to 10 watt charging.
Going on Huawei Health app, expect more info to read with the added features of Watch Fit New from more watch faces to choose from, more customization to app notifications, sleep and stress monitoring and more. Comparing the actual Sp02 reading on the watch, we noticed that inside the app has more accuracy based on the graph. Of course, there are virtual medals for you to motivate in terms of fitness either you are more of a walker or a runner
Compared to it's initial pricing, Huawei Watch Fit New just became more affordable at Php 3999 on both Huawei PH's own official online store and their Shopee official store. All-day heartbeat and SpO2 monitoring plus bigger display, compact, fast charging, band that is more comfortable in the skin and more packed information plus better app compatibility for notifications were the strengths of this device. So far, the only issue that we seen so far was the a bit difference on the SpO2 graph between the watch and app (I hope it is because of the limited screen size). Not an issue for us that it does not have NFC. For us it's 4.5 out of 5 for the Huawei Watch Fit New
