Redmi Note 10 Unboxing, Review Philippines

Believe it or not, it's our first Redmi smartphone review for years since the Redmi 1s thanks to some changes in personnel, we are finally got a chance to check the Redmi Note 10

You can check our unboxing video here:

We were forttunate that we checked the device on both MIUI 12.0.5 and 12.0.10. Compared to 1s, yes it was a bit of learning curve for us but we got the hang of it later on. Even that we cut the animation scale in half thru developer options, that bounce is very familiar to us on iOS 12. The pulldown menu and settings are quite entertaining and interactive. With Snapdragon 678 processor and 6 GB/128 GB version that we played, it can handle the phone nicely.

In connectivity, happy to know that RN10 has VoLTE and VoWiFi (although we maximized more on VoLTE and it works good). Calls, mobile data, IR blaster, WiFi (with dual band), Bluetooth and GPS were a-ok too

On benchmarks, RN10 has 7 out of 9 working sensors. On Antutu, it scored at over 294000 on performance but on normal mode, expect it to go at over 220,000

On battery, the device lasted in 30 hours and 40 minutes on our video battery rundown test. On our real-life usage on heavy mode, we usually got this device for 1.5 days. With it's 33 watt charger, we can easily have from 0 to 100% battery in around 70 minutes

On overall camera performance even at this pricing, Redmi Note 10 was more than average for shooting photos on daytime and mixed lighting. On nighttime or low light, we suggest to go in HDR mode over turning on the AI. Movie frame mode is a welcome thing as you can shoot 16:9 pics with bars but it has a bug as it will not completely show your watermark when you shoot on horizontal mode. On video, it was a decent HD and FHD shooter but there's a lil bit of shakiness on 4K. The 48 MP photo mode really gives extra details as it can go as high as 40 MB. Selfies are average based on what we looked,

Here are our video samples from HD 30 fps, Full HD 30 fps, Full HD 60 fps and 4K at 30 fps

On extras, two bugs that we noticed on both versions are both related on Facebook. You cannot send photos from your photo gallery on either messaaging on Facebook Lite and Messnger despite of some troubleshooting and reinstalling the app for a number of times

Being one of the lightest phones with 5000 mAh batttery that we had, good on battery life, very good in connectivity department as well on camera for it's asking price andAMOLED  display were the strong points of Redmi Note 10. Some might not be happy for some bugs that we still checked based on the two MIUI versions that we had especially on FB and Messenger which we hope Xiaomi will gonna fix soon. For us, it's 4.5 out 5 for Redmi Note 10 which is still available in local offline and online channels.
