JBL Clip 4 Unboxing, Review
We are been to Pulse and recenty, it was our first time to check another Bluetooth speaker line from JBLwhich is portable and suitable if you want to bring your sounds outrdoors - JBL Clip 4
You can check our unboxing and first impressions below in this video:
Size-wise, Clip 4 is good enough on my big hand with the beautiful design of JBL branding down to those buttonless icons for play, volume controls, Bluetooth and power switch. Just like in most of JBL BT products, you only need to press and hold the Bluetooth icon to pair a device for the first time. We had no problems on pairig on our laptop, smartphones and an Android tablet (as you only need to see JBL Clip 4 in the Bluetooth section)
Clip 4 is a late 2020 release but it adjusted to the times as it was our first time to check a JBL BT speaker with USB Type C. Although not stated on it's input, we charged it on a 5V 2A phone charge and it only took us less than 2 hours. Their 10 hours of playback time was on target for us on a 50% volume, good enough on our small room/workstation to cover the entire area with sound
The most important thing is the overall sound quality. People who knew that JBL signature sound but it was not present for me. This bluetooth is a very good all-rounder from almost all of the sounds that we scrambled on Spotify from J-Pop, J-Rock, rock, alternative, hip hop and some synth pop in between. Unfottunately, we can't test the water resistance as we only borrowed this unit
The official price of JBL in the Philippines is at Php 3549 (but it can go as low as Php 2899 thru Shopee). Typical JBL pricing as you are paying for some premium. Lightness, USB Type-C, portable, goes well in almost all music genres. One thing that is missing for this speaker is the lack of mic in case you need it for calls. So far, I cannot see any affordable options with a clip option for a porable Bluetooth speaker so some may pass it for it's a bit pricing. For us,. it's 3.75 out of 5 for JBL Clip 4
