Usually when we see the word "MatePad" in Huawei, we usually see it as their high end Android tablet compared to their MediaPad but we never expected that they will gonna go down at under 10,000 peso range. This might be the most "sulit" tablet that we saw from them so far based on specs, performance and price equation. This is our verdict on Huawei Matepad T10.
Like what we saw on Nova 7 5G, it will be our first Huawei tablet without GMS but with Petal search and Huawei AppGallery in the mix, we survived on most apps that we can utilize on a huge 9.7 inch HD display from Zoom, an alternative to Youtube app, WPS Office and others. Yes, for only Php 1000 more compared to other local Android tablets, it can run Zoom (via app) and Google Meet properly as we installed Microsoft Edge browser . Of course, you cannnot multi task that much as it only has 2 GB RAM but with 32 GB internal storage, it will gonna give you 24+ GB of remaining storage.
The tablet has EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10 but unfortunately this device does not support MeeTime
Connectivity, having this device with 5 GHz WiFi support is a plus for this budget Android tablet. It does not have LTE and sim card support but it was fine. Bluetooth, OTG and Huawei Share were very good. One thing that we missed on this one is the screencast option.
On benchmarks, for some reason MatePad T10 did not allow us to run either lite or standard versions of Antutu but good thing, we got Geekbench. As expected compared to the standard Kirin 710 that we have on Huawei Y9s, the number is near to the Kirin 710A of MatePad T10. We can only have four basic sensors for this budget tablet
On battery, Huawei MatePad T10 survived on 18 hours and 10 minutes with it's 9.7 inch HD display and 5100 mAh battery which is impressive that it had a 14 nm processor. Using it mainly for binge watching and used it for a number of Zoom
Camera for a budget Android tbalet, we cannot complain that much but it was more usable for social compared to some local Android tablets that we seen. The main camera (without flash) has f/2.2 aperture while for selfie sensor, it has f/2.4. Good thing that you can enable some lighting as it will use a part of the display as a light source

A much capable processor for it's asking price of Php 6990, a-ok memory configuration, EMUI, very good audio on it's speakers. 5 GHz WiFi support and thumbs up battery life were the the strengths for us of Huawei MatePad T10. Some might not gonna like the limitations of having no GMS and might be some apps not available on Petal Search and AppGallery (yes, we are pointing out on iWant TFC and Cignal Play apps) and only 5 watt charging even on USB Type-C port. Still, it was "sulit for us on Huawei MatePad T10 at 4.25 out of 5.
