We leaked the price of Vivo V19 Neo in the Philippines and later on, Vivo PH revealed it 18 hours before it's ongoing launch. One of it's threatening competitors in the said segment is the one from Huawei almost with the same quad main camera set-up and so, we chose these two for our specs comparison
From this comparison, we will gonna pick the Huawei Nova 7i over Vivo V19 Neo.
Here's the specs table between these two smartphones:
Advantages of Vivo V19 Neo over Huawei Nova 7i:
Not included in the table but the dual nano SIM + dedicated micro SD slot tray of V19 Neo is an advantage over the hybrid dual SIM or single nano SIM + nano SD card tray of Nova 7i as for sure, more are still lovin' their ever trusted micro SD card for storing files and media. No doubt, (Super) AMOLED display is better than LCD display especially on dark mode and bigger battery (by 300 mAh battery difference) can spell some difference if you are more as an endurance type of user. A bit lighter on Vivo's phone Some may tell that at least Vivo has Google mobile services out of the box.
Advantages of Huawei Nova 7i over Vivo V19 Neo:
Looking at the specs table, a lot for us. Huawei Nova 7i's processor is almost 2x better in performance (based on the benchmark numbers) compared to Vivo V19 Neo's Snapdragon 675 plus the fact that we expect that it will gonna be more battery efficient at 7 nm over the latter at 11 nm. Nova 7i might not have the GMS but compared to late last year, a lot more local-based apps (esp. mobile banking and FinTech apps) are now available in Huawei AppGallery plus more global apps are also there. We really do not like Funtouch up to this point coz of the least apps that it supports on multi-window mode versus EMUI based on Android 10 which sometimes it can force some apps to do multi-window mode. Yes, Nova 7i has less MPs on it's selfie cam over on V19 Neo but the aperture on V19 Neo is a bit of concern for us and it might be a dependable low-light selfie shooter (sometimes those night mode effects don't work) . We had a not that good experience on the under-display fingerprint reader of Vivo NEX so we had some doubts on V19 Neo's same solution and Huawei has that very good reputation in terms of physcial fingerprint sensor either at the back or at the side. Nova 7i has less 300 mAh on battery capacity over V19 Neo but the huge boost will be the 40 watt supercharge support over the dual-engine 18 watt charging support of V19 Neo and for sure, Huawei's phone can be the first to go from 0 to 100% battery. Sacrifice on AMOLED over LCD is a-ok for that over Php 4,000 difference and for the performance to price considerations.
From this comparison, we will gonna pick the Huawei Nova 7i over Vivo V19 Neo.
