Realme 6i Unboxing, First Impressions

After we seen this device last March and already revealed the official local launch date, we were fortunate that Realme Philippines has sent their upcoming "number series" smartphones in our HQ.
Meet the Realme 6i. This time, we were pretty convinced that yellow will be the future main color on their next packaging. So here is the box itself

Front view, it might be the same looks as to the previous gen phone Realme 5i but it has a slightly smaller mini-drop on it's 6.5 inch HD+ display. I expect that they will gonna stick on that reso as based on 5i, it might repeat itself as the budget in the Realme 6 series. It also has a 16 MP selfie cam and as usual, pre-applied screen guard. You can check the rest of the specs thru our previous post here

The back section, it has the major changes that you can see compared to 5i with quad main cameras composed of it's 48 MP primary cam and another unique Realme design that the Realme X designer Naoto Fukasawa has brought in to the 6i. We got the White Milk color (as my fellow tech bloggers got the green tea color). At first, we were afraid that it will be prone to dirt and smudges but good thing, the brand chose to put in some matte finish on this device which we might not to put some protection in here. Sometimes, we have this bit powdery feel on the device which is a-ok. The sort-of invisible linings on both the top and bottom parts are a welcome change compared to "the sun rays" approach of 5i

With a closer look on the sides, there are curves on the corners which is not visible on the 5i. Volume keys and dual nano SIM + micro SD tray at the left, power/unlock button at the right and (we were happy at this part) at the bottom, pin hole mic, 3.5 mm audio jack, speaker and USB Type C port

The essentials like user manual, warranty guide, darkened protective case, USB Type C cable and first time for a non-pro in the number series, an 18 watt charger which is on 9V 2A configuration.

The online launch of Realme 6i in the Philippines is set this May 13, 7 pm at Realme Philippines Facebook page so expect that we will gonna have it's full review minutes or hours after the said event
