PLDT Global and SyncShop Partnership, Will Benefit OFWs

OFWs can now tap a new way to top up their mobile phones and access other services under a new agreement between PLDT Global Corporation, the international subsidiary of telco and digital services provider PLDT, and SyncShop LLC, a multistore and e-commerce platform based in the United Arab Emirates.

Through this partnership, Filipinos based in UAE will have a convenient way to reload their Smart, TNT, and Sun SIM cards, or send load as gift to their families in the Philippines. Aside from that, they can also pay utility bills, tuition fees, insurance, and even real estate dues of their loved ones back home. OFWs in UAE would just need to log on to an online marketplace and click on the service that they want to avail of.

“This partnership allows us to stay true to our commitment to bring innovative services to our kababayans wherever they are in the world, especially during this time of COVID-19 pandemic,” said Albert V. Villa-Real, Chief Commercial Officer at PLDT Global. “Now, more than ever, Filipinos overseas need more digital services as a way for them to look after the welfare of their parents, children, or relatives who are under the enhanced community quarantine back home,” he added.

“Our mission is to establish a retail business that will make shopping easier, a one-stop shop where all kinds of products and services are available locally, nationally and internationally. We are devoted in bringing our customer a great value to their shopping experience,” said Salim Saleem, CEO & Founder of SyncShop LLC.
