Not only Smart Prepaid but another one from their "tri-net" family of telcos will also gonna do a step-up in race to 5G in the Philippines and it was TNT.
Last Friday, we seen this one while we are playing some keywords (curiosity what if there's a TNT 5G sim card) and to our surprise, we saw a number of vendors in Shopee PH app ranging from the 5G sim with a normal number down to vanity numbers which sold as high as 999 pesos just like in Smart 5G sim and minutes ago, we already received an item. Like in Smart 5G sim, the placing of mobile number, ICCID and the official SRP at Php 30 was there. It will also works on LTE only phones as stated and it has free 3 GB of Facebook access upon activation. It is also tri-cut. We bought this one at Php 15 (Php 20 original price minus Php 5 for Shopee coins, shipping excluded)
The first pic, you can see the essential information and social media accounts of TNT. Opening the pack, you can see the intial instructions on how to activate your TNT 5G SIM for the first time.
At the sim card itself, we can see the similarity on Smart Prepaid 5G sim with upper half of it in black color and the other in orange, the known color of TNT (Smart is in green). The sim card itself is in total black.
The question right now if Smart Prepaid and TNT will have their formal announcements of it at the same time. At least for now prepaid users who will gonna have their 5G smartphones soon, we now have two choices and for sure, you cannot go wrong from either Smart Prepaid or TNT. It will go down to the network availability and prepaid promo options.
