Still a worthy smartphone to check this early 2020? Here is our review of Samsung Galaxy A50s.
First, the unboxing of the official commercial unit that we got and here is the box looks like
Super AMOLED displays are now more accessible in the high midrange of Samsung and we love this one over the Galaxy A50 with it's 6.4 inch FHD+ display
Samsung had a gradual change in processor performance (compared to Exynos 9610 of Galaxy A50) but we had a good time with Exynos 9611 together with 6 GB RAM/128 GB ROM configuration that we borrowed. It still has the same One UI based on Android 9 Pie but for some reasons, almost all of the actions that we did were optimized on this device.

Here is the rest of it's physical which not much changes over the Galaxy A50 but the back is less delicate which we enjoyed more to use it without the case

On connectivity, Galaxy A50s passed with flying colors on calls, texts, Bluetooth, WiFi, mobile data and most importantly, GPS which we had some problems on A50
On battery, Samsung Galaxy A50s lasted in our video battery rundown test at 17 hours and 10 minutes. Not bad for a FHD+ display and 4,000 mAh battery. It's provided 15 watt charger can fully replenish this one on around 2 hours
Samsung Galaxy A50s has the same triple main cam set-up but from 25, it became a 48 MP primary shooter which this time, it was more convincing in how detailed the photos that we got even if you will gonna zoom it for a bit more. Color accuracy and image processing speed were also there. Still, we cannot fully utilize of the pro mode

Pros: Slim and good looking body, camera, battery life, UI, connectivity
Cons: Could have been more controls on pro mode, it depends if 15 watt charging is still not enough for you.
On it's announcement, Samsung Galaxy A50s was at almost Php 18,000 at it's official PH announcement but with the latest price drop at Php 14,990 (although it was still a bit higher compared with other global smartphone brands, we love that it covered most of our needs plus a slim profile is something that you cannot deny. It's gonna be 4 out of 5 for Samsung Galaxy A50s
