While the number of media thanksgiving and Christmas party events went down last month, it was the time for us to reduce more of our backlogs plus we got a laptop that we are reviewing on the side and we are quite curious on this coworking space (which might be a first) in Silang, Cavite for almost a year now and it is almost 2.5 kilometers away to Nuvali so we about to review WeThrive Coworking Space
WeThrive Coworking Space is located to a mall (which is not look like a mall to us, more of a commercial complex) and it is along the Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Road. Yes, it is only 12 kilometers away to Tagaytay Public Market
We chose to try it as they were 25% off on their daily rate at Php 375 for December 2019 (regular price at Php 500). We though at first that it was unlimited all day (as they operate 24 hours on weekdays) but not as the day pass is only good for 9 hours (which is not stated from their latest social media posts). Another quite a bad shot for us that when we arrived there that they are currently having their own Christmas party (without an update from their social media page) but good thing, they offered their sort-of meeting room)
We worked at the space from almost 10 am to minutes til 7 pm. What we loved is they are now using inverter airconditioning units in the whole place. They have unlimited coffee and water in their specialized place. There is no sort-of proper pantry at the area as you can bring in your food while beside on your laptop as long as you do the CLAYGO rule and utilize their placemats which can be borrowed for free (we had some pan de sal and a can of pork n beans during our snack time). If for lunch, there is a cafe at the ground floor that serves rice meals and frappes. Not sure if there are proper food outside as there are a number of street food vendors as the establishment is in front of a known university
Internet is one of the main ingredients for a good coworking space. We checked the ISP of WeThrive and they are using PLDT (which I believe is Fibr as Cavite is the first PLDT Fibr-powered province since 2017) and based on our Speedtest, we can only get around 5 mbps on download and 3 mbps on upload speeds. Not that impressive for the price that we are paying. We noticed that the connection is a bit stronger on their meeting room than their common area which you will gonna more of the pics.
At that time especially in the afternoon, we were with three more people coworking there. There were some times that the connection became not that stable on the said time but the personnel was more than helpful (which they also helped me on operating their coffee machine). There were some lockers too but we never got an available space at that time. We also noticed a number of LED TVs (in mute mode) there with some random videos from quotes to motivational videos. There were a variety of seats and tables available at the area from short to tall chairs that will fit to almost every height of the person.
For ambience, accessibility. their unli coffee, their warmth of service and the space, WeThrive Coworking Space was a-ok but we hope that their rates will give more justice (they also have hourly, weekly and monthly rates) to their current internet speeds. With a number of posh villages around Silang, Cavite - for sure there is more access to faster Fibr speed there.
WeThrive Coworking Space is located in the second floor of Carolina Mall (in front of Adventist University of the Philippines or AUP) along Sta. Rosa- Tagaytay Road in Silang Cavite
