Over a year, they took a jab from a smartphone brand for rolling out ads inside their custom-based UI but Realme decided to go on that step eventually.
From their official forums, they revealed that starting from their Realme phones with Color OS 6 phones that they will be bringing in Commercial Content Recommendation or simply ads.
A part of the quote, they said “To continue offering more surprises for you and (to) maintain a healthy and sustainable business model, we have introduced commercial content recommendation with Realme with Color OS 6..."
There's a good thing though that you can avoid it by going in to these steps:
Settings>Additional Settings>Disable Content Recommendation
We are curious if this will be also be implemented soon on Oppo as they share the same custom Android OS. As they official forum is based in India, we wonder if this will be also be effective in the Philippines soon.
