Over a month after it had a small launch and a number of follow-ups, we chose to do it ninja style in one of their stores as we had a lil hands-on one of the A(s) smartphones from Samsung Galaxy
Meet the Samsung Galaxy A30s which while we had a shoot for this, we had the Galaxy A50s as our main driver. You can check the rest of it's specs on our previous blog post here.
Here is the front view of Samsung Galaxy A30s still with their own Infinity-U (aka notched) display. At 3,000 pesos less versus compared to A50s, the Korean-based brand still managed to have this phone with less bezels on the sides and bottom. Respectable clarity on it's 6.4 inch AMOLED display, too
Here is the back view of the phone still with it's triple main camera and Samsung logo. This is probably the main reason (aside from a bit less on processing power compared to A50s) that the back cover can be more prone to fingerprint smudges. We are yet to confirm if there is also a white version of it but from this, this phone looks more plastic-ky
Same placements as to Galaxy A50s too on the sides with dual nano SIM + micro SD tray, noise cancelling mic, power/unlock button, volume rocker, single speaker, USB Type C and 3.5 mm audio jack. We have yet to confirm if this device also supports OTG function. Other difference that we felt, this phone is a bit thicker to hold versus teh A50s
Same same on Samsung One UI that we saw on Galaxy A50s based on Android 9 Pie.
Unfortunately, we were not able to bring those camera samples on our workstation as the phone was in vendor mode but based on the camera output that we observed inside the store, not that much difference and it can be easily tell that it is a bit better than the previously released Samsung Galaxy A50 (without the s).
Samsung Galaxy A30s is now available in Samsung stores, partner dealers and Lazada Philippines thru this link for Php 12,990
