Leagoo M13 Review

One of Leagoo Philippines' offering at below Php 5,000 price range and one of the lowest with 4 GB RAM, what you can maximize on the Leagoo M13? Here's our review

With their custom x almost stockish Android 9 Pie coupled with Mediatek Helio A22 quad-core processor, Leagoo M13 is kinda average in terms of speed. That 4 GB RAM was kinda helpful for opening more apps than usual. The iconography and pulldown menu were almost untouched. If there is one issue that we usually encounter is the hit or miss issue on it's rear fingerprint reader.

Connectivity almost passed on flying colors on Leagoo M13 on calls, texts, mobile data, Bluetooth, OTG and WiFi except for the GPS which gave us a bit of trouble on some apps that need it especially on Google Maps. A bit inaccurate. In mobile settings, there are only 2G, 3G and 4G only. Having LTE only has some benefits but we love to see 2G/3G only too for some places that you already have WiFi or at provinces

On our video battery rundown test with it's 6.26 inch HD+ display and 3,000 mAh batttery, the performance of Leagoo M13 is only at average at 11 hours and 26 minutes. Using it as a daily driver in heavy usage with around 4 hours of screen on time, sometimes we need to top up a lil bit when we were still awake at late night. Charging time usually got us at a bit over 2 hours.

Leagoo M13 has simple camera options from auto, HDR and bokeh but we chose be on that first option as other camera modes were not that good at all or very difficult to execute especially on the bokeh. The primary camera only has f/2.8 aperture so you really have to set your standards low. Selfies are only for social media as long as you are not in a place with quite awkward lighting

Leagoo M13's main strengths for us are the almost-stockish Android 9 Pie, the effort to have a nice phone design for the price, good connectivity and 4 GB RAM. On the cons, they must fix on the other camera modes that we mentioned and the fix on GPS. For us, it's gonna be 3.5 out of  5 for Leagoo M13.

Leagoo M13 has quite unpredictable pricing but as of writing, Leagoo M13 is at Php 4,199 at their official store in Lazada Philippines thru this link
