It took us a few weeks (as we had a number of media events in the first half of November). After four years, we got a media pass and we maximized it as went for two days at the recent Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit (ESGS) 2019.
For Day 2, we only had an hour and it was kinda interesting yet a bit disappointed moment when we arrived at 8 pm. From one of their staff at the reception area, they started a rule which even that you bought in a ticket to enter, they will not gonna allow you to enter at the event grounds in the final hours of day which is kinda weirdo for us. Eventually, we were able to go to grounds and see the spectacle since Day 0.
For Day 3, we were supposed to go the media event of Final Fantasy Brave Evius but hours before we trooped in, we got a call and a chance to interview Miss World and Kapuso star Megan Young for Lenovo Legion Philippines. After that, it was for the said Final Fantasy game's meeting.
That day was also the day that we immersed more on the events, still with all of the four halls of SMX MOA. Two brand that we missed from this year's event were Gigabylte and Logitech (who chose to showcase their brands at Tech Life Expo 2019) ano no energy drink presentator this time bu Mountain Dew can probably replace that. The big Nintendo Switch was the most noticeable game place while the slanting roof of Legion Philippines got the inspiration of that fun FB event created with "Magpaslide sa Legion booth sa ESGS 2019" which one of my co-bloggers said that a person reallt tried it and later on, got perma-banned on the next ESGS events to come.
From Day 2 to 3, Tier One Entertainment stage was definitely got the most blockbuster stage as we almost got no chance to have a pic with their talents due to that long lines (except for Tryke with our first ever selfie/pic since we first saw him in Gadget Magazine's Blogafest in 2009) . It was also the day that three gaming laptop brands got to be on the main stage with Predator, MSI and ASUS ROG. Among the three (as they tried their best to hype up the crowd), the first two brands that we mentioned got the warmest reception especially on time that Predator now got the top spot in the gaming brand in the Philippines.
Indie gamers booth and the food section went to switch on their spaces compared to last year. DLS-CSB got more than just 1 booth. HyperX's booth also had a big crowd with known cosplayers Kang Dupet and Le Josette. Some of Gilas Pilipinas players also got a chance to team up with some of the Sibol e-sports team for some Mobile Legends action.
This year, we chose not to stay in the final hours of ESGS 2019 as we had to run to another media event on the next day and if were not mistaken, it was the first time that ESGS 2019 chose to do some livestream in most of their events.
