We were done on MyPhone's comeback in the LTE phone segment and their first with Unisoc processor via the MyPhone MyX12. Can it capture your interest and needs for it's asking price?
As they gave that info for us from it's launch that they already dropped the custom MyOS to a near stock Android Pie, their newly introduced one seems a-ok with the budget Unisoc processor that they put in. They almost got the promise of having those smooth transitions down to possible multi tasking that we can do to maximize it's 4 GB RAM there. You may notice that the app list is at 4 rows in default. You can only put in the maximum of 5 rows of you select in the smallest display and text possible
Having a new processor also drew us some curiosity in the connectivity department. The phone works a-ok in almost all departments from calls, texts, mobile data, Bluetooth, GPS and OTG. One thing that needs improvement is the WiFi as for first timers, the phone might not connect that instantly.
On games, we tested this one out on Mobile Legends (as we tried to test on what they said to us) and they hit it this time that lowest (at all) is the best settings possible. You can still put it on medium settings but you have to watch out on some warming issues and in case you forgot, the processor inside still has that old school 28 nm architecture.
On benchmarks, it is a bit higher in numbers in Antutu compared to the likes of Mediatek Helio A22 and P22. MyPhone chose to put in the basics in the sensor department with accelerometer, light, proximity and sound
With it's 28 nm arrhcitecture on it's SoC, another department that we were curious is the battery department. With it's 3,500 mAh battery and HD+ display, we lowered a bit in expectations compared to it's competitors with are hitting 11 to 14 nm processso. For video battery rundown test, it is a good marathon phone with 13 hours and 25 minutes but on heavy usage with 5 hours of screen on time, we were sorry that there will be times that we need to top up this one if we hit our working hours at late night.
On extras: we were kinda surprised that MyX12 has very good audio via the 3.5 mm audio jack as we tried it from different headphones and earphones to the point that there are some tracks that it is a bit better than Realme 5 to the point that you might have an impression that it has Hi-Fi chip inside. As of this time
Even at the budget segment, MyX12 tried it's best to put as much camera modes as possible especially on the rear cameras. LIke in other 2019 phones, MyPhone also injected AI mode on this thing but we chose the HDR mode as the best option in terms of camera quality possible and image processing speed (When at AI mode, it usually took us almost 2 seconds for every shot). For selfies, we advise you to stick only on normal mode.

MyPhone MyX12 is a good buy if you are looking for under 6k phone with much memory capacity that you can ask as possible. It has good enough cameras, sort-of stockish custom Android UI, huge display on a budget, suprising very good audio on 3.5 mm audio jack, respectable budget gaming machine and a rare commodity nowadays - removable battery. There might be a love or hate on the battery life segment but for the nerds, their choice to put in an old school 28 nm processor can be it's biggest con and even for normal users, battery life might hit them later on especially for heavy users and gaming. For us, it's gonna be a 3.5 out of 5 for the MyPhone MyX12
