Cherry Mobile Flare Y7 Pro Review

We were done on the most affordable 4 GB RAM smartphone that you can find right now. Here's our verdict on Cherry Mobile Flare Y7 Pro.

Like in what we saw on the first batch in Flare S8 series, Flare Y7 Pro has that stock-ish Android 9 Pie that they put in which is just right for a budget Helio A22 processor and 4 GB RAM. No stutter in most of the time that we did some multi tasking. At default, you can notice on the four rows for the list of apps.

Out of 32 GB ROM, you can have over 25+ GB for your apps which is quite plenty for this budget device

Out of 3,000 mAh battery, Cherry Mobile Flare Y7 Pro survived at 13 hours and 15 miuntes in our video battery rundown test. In our over a week of usage to this device, we can easily use it for an entire day with around 5 hours of screen on time. In addition, their side fingerprint sensor worked fine for us in most of the time. Charging time is about 2.25 hours out of it's 5V 1.5 A charger.

Here are the benchmark number according to Antutu which is a-ok for this under 5k device

Not that much had given to the news but the main headliner of Flare Y7 Pro will be the f/1.8 aperture for both the primary and selfie shooters which gives enough justice for the photos that we produced in here. The portrait selfie had an improvement compared to the days of Flare S6 but one thing that we noticed on most of our rear camera shots, lack of color accuracy.

For Php 4,999, Cherry Mobile Flare Y7 Pro is a good buy for it's compact size. having a side fingerprint reader for a change, acceptable for selfies for the price, good primary camera (as long as you do not care that much for the color accuracy), a-ok on the battery and the high priority on 4 GB RAM for less. It will be 4 out of 5 for Cherry Mobile Flare Y7 Pro
