Redmi 8 has dual 12 (f/1.8, Sony IMX 363 sensor) + 2 (depth) MP main cameras with AI scene detection and Google Lens support, 8 MP front camera, 6.22 inch HD+ notched display with Gorilla Glass 5, MIUI 10 based on Android Pie, Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor, true dual SIM with micro SD slot up to 512 GB, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, rear fingerprint sensor, USB Type C port, IR blaster, P2i splash proof certified, face unlock and 5,000 mAh battery with 18 watt charging support (but a 10 watt charger is in the box)
Redmi 8 will be available in Ruby Red, Sapphire Blue and Onyx Black at 7,999 (3/32) and 8,999 (4/64) rupees but as a treat in the said country, they will be selling the 4/64 version at 7,999 rupees for the first 5 million units. It will be available this Saturday, October 12. Xiaomi's Manu Jain added that they are letting go on the 2 GB RAM variant on the Redmi series.
