Putting in a big server set-up in an office for different before is quite meticuoous in terms of reconstruction, cable management, manpower and having raised floors can be a chore but known digital transformer of energy management plus more worldwide Schneider Electric brought an innovation and it was a perfect set-up to that huge headquarters that we had a visit years ago
From L-R: Lanz Jimenez (Product Application Engineer for Cooling, Schneider Electric Phils.), Arlene Siangzon (Sales and Marketing Manager, VST-ECS Phils.), Tony Kang (Business Vice President, Secure Power - Schneider Electric Phils.), Tony Pascual (AVP for Technology and Product Solutions Division, VST-ECS Phils.)
The French multinational corporation introduced HyperPod (not the one that we saw in online articles from a local coworking space) - a rack ready system designed to deploy IT ar scale in increments of 8 to 12 racks.
The set-up was great when they took us for some tour inside the VST-ECS (formerly MSI-ECS) Philippines in Pasig which we saw a total of 6 hubs.
With this set-up, VST-ECS had around 17% savings in total in terms of construction, less manpower, less in electricity in terms of cooling and also in putting these in their HQ which is earlier in 2 weeks compared to their previous solution.
Not just for saving space, money, manpower and electricity, HyperPod also has a number of security measures including CCTV and possible water leaks. We also noticed from that centralized cooling system also using less in temperature at around 20.7 degree celsius which is just like someone's typical home aircon setting. We also noticed of the clean set-up which is a perfect for those cable management obstacles
