It appeared before in their social media pages and recently, we had a chance drop by at Cherry Mobile's head office to check out their newest in the Omega phone line-up.
Meet Cherry Mobile Omega X which on the specs sheet, it is kinda comparable to the hot selling Flare S8 but with a different design. Here is the box looks like.
Front view:
6.2 inch HD+ display, 8 MP selfie cam with Sony IMX 219 sensor
Internals - Android 9 Pie, Mediatek Helio P23 processor, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB ROM, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, LTE, 2800 mAh battery
Back view (in crimson blue):
13 MP rear cam with Sony IMX 258 sensor with LED flash, Cherry Mobile logo
The left portion has volume buttons and power/unlock button. The right side has hybrid dual SIM tray which you may check that the phone does not have those curvy sides. Rare times that we can see a 3.5 mm audio jack and micro USB port at the top and pin hole mic + speaker at the bottom.
The software is the same as what we saw from Flare S8 as well as the camera UI. It has the same camera features. One of Cherry Mobile officials claim that when they ran Antutu benchmark for a number of times, they wonder that the phone posted higher numbers than Flare S8 (possible reasons that Omega X is using faster storage and memory). Same aperture too as to Flare S8 as both main shooters have f/2.8 aperture

Cherry Mobile Omega X might be a possible, good substitute to Flare S8 based on the few minutes that we played in terms of the UI and the fast transitions. We will gonna miss the curvy sides of Flare S8 on this one. The back casing is a-ok (yes it is made from plastic) for the asking price but can be a fragile thing that might be easily scratched. Cherry Mobile Omega X is now available in Cherry Mobile stores for the same price as to Flare S8 at Php 3,999
