Anilao in Mabini, Batangas was known as a diving spot and quite easy to go if you are coming from the metro. As our first timer at the said place (third time in known resort spots in Batangas after Nasugbu and Lemery) , it was a good start to check out Saltitude Dive and Beach Resort thru their recently launched Brunchin' @ the Beach.
Happened just yesterday (August 17 2019), us and the rest of Mega Manila-based bloggers trooped down for some nice gastronomic experience. In their over a year of existence, they made their name as a known dive, surf and their Saturday night BBQ thing
As their first offering, they laid us a variety of food choices ranging from Pinoy, Mediterranean, Asian and American but as you can check from our previous blog post, you might be surprised that what they can offer for next week. Brunchin At The Beach is served at their very own Mingle restaurant which has a good view of the Balayan Bay. The concept and the food choices were made by it's co-owner Malou Esparrago with the local ingredients plus the help of their in-house chef. Here's a lil teaser from the prepared flatlay with the help of our fellow bloggers.
Ok, let's go Asian!
They showcased us with two kinds of sushi, pork siomai, steamed fish and pancit which are really good to our palate. They also had the yang chow rice which was our main source for carbohydates.
Ala-hoy for Pinoy!
Those staple favorites were there including puto and kuntsinta, buko pandan, choco champorado, the all-time fave and world known (pork) adobo), the comforting halaan soup with a nice touch of ginger-y taste and our stand-out at the said category, lechon manok, the leche flan with the right sweetness, presentation and the siksik factor when you are about to melt it inside your mouth
At their "from the med" menu category, we only had a chance to check out their lasagna which has the right amount of meat and sauce. Sometimes, we do not like the overwhelming amount of sauce so that you can also appreciate the pasta itself.
All you can with their All American!
We got an almost complete American breakfast with cheese, bread, cinnamon roll, eggs, hotdogs, bacon, pancakes and fruit jams ready to fill out stomachs in. It was also a pleasant variery of choices that we had in our big plate
Brunchin @the Beach is every Saturday from 6 am to 12:30 pm at 699 pesos per person. After those hours, you can still enjoy the rest of the food choices and drinks that Mingle restaurant is currrently which are quite affordable
From their presentation, their entire buffet was a-ok for us with the vast number of choices yet not that overloaded (as there are some people who might be overwhelmed to a buffet place and be confused what to eat) Our personal faves will be the Halaan Soup, Lasagna, Leche Flan, Lechon Manok and Pancit Canton which for sure, you will also gonna love it once you go at Saltitude Dive and Beach Resort located at beside the National Road, Brgy.
