Days after their introduction in the country, we got to score one of the first offering of Itel Mobile in the country and we got the package and the verdict too.
Here is Itel Mobile P33 Plus and it's official retail box
At last you will gonna see the gradient color of P33 Plus
The box comes with user manual, protective case, earphones, USB cable and 5V 1A charger
On the UI, they presented in the launch that it has Android Oreo Go Edition but from the absence of app drawer and a different look in the app icons and pulldown menu, it looks totally not except that they put in a pre-loaded Go apps like Maps Go, Youtube Go and Gmail Go. With Speadtrum quad-core processor, the custom UI seems decent for one-time, two-time app usage but as it is situated as an entry-level phablet , expect that it will not survive in heavy multitasking game. During our review, good to know the phone sent us two OTA updates
Good thing that P33 Plus was pretty good in connectivity in calls, texts, Bluetooth and WiFi. The phone does not have LTE and OTG support
The battery has 5,000 mAh battery in 6 inch diplay but in a pretty old school processor so with our battery video rundown test, the phone lasted at 13 hours and 35 minutes. With WiFi as our main source for internet, we can have a 1.5 day smartphone except if you will still be to go for it for some light gaming. With the said charger, you will need to have 5 hours to fully charge this phablet.
For some reason, we cannot put in the Antutu on the P33 Plus which the slow SoC might be the one to blame. Basic sensors as expected on this phablet so no gyro in here.
The biggest surprise for us is a pretty good 3.5 mm audio jack output which is very rare in entry-level smartphone as well is the rear fingerprint sensor. Obviously it was not as fast as to likes of Huawei and Xiaomi but the accuracy was there almost every time for us.
The camera UI has pro (with some basic functions), HDR, bokeh and auto. We do not recommend to use the HDR as it got us very slow processing speed. Same case on the bokeh function which is not that proper at all.
The auto option was a-ok for us for well-lit environment and they even had an effort to throw some watermark on it. The same case goes for the selfies. On other lighting situatons, we cannot recommend it.

At Php 3,499, Itel Mobile P33 Plus can be a considerable phone with it's big display, rear fingerprint sensor, sort of light UI, 16 GB internal storage (others can only gonna give you at half of that), nice audio on the 3.5 mm audio jack, nice effort on the desigb and 5,000 mAh battery. Some things to hate about this device is the very slow in terms of making this phone fully charge, no LTE and no OTG, Itel Mobile P33 Plus for us is at 3.5 out of 5
