Huawei Rolls Out EMUI 9.1 Update in the Philippines

While recognized across the globe as a premier manufacturer of high-end smartphone hardware with camera technology rivalling DSLRs, Huawei has also developed its own take on the underlying Android software to take full advantage of its devices’ capabilities.

EMUI is a unique interface with tons of built-in customization options and features designed to maximize functionality for the user, now on its latest iteration, EMUI 9.1. 

Huawei is now steadily rolling out EMUI 9.1 updates to all users globally, even as installation numbers of the previous version, 9.0, nears 100 million devices. Based on the latest version of Android 9 Pie, EMUI 9.1 comes with plenty of new features and performance upgrades that further enhance the user experience on all compatible Huawei phones. To get the update, users can simply check the HiCare app for their device’s eligibility; After June 27, Mate 20 series users can start to apply for upgrade,  while more models are scheduled to receive it from June onwards.



What’s new with EMUI 9.1?

GPU Turbo 3.0 supports more games for an improved gaming experience. It has added 19 new international games to the existing 6 supported games. Now, the feature will offer a total of 25 game a better experience with higher frame rate and lower power consumption. 
Improved data transfer speed and integrity of Phone Clone.
Customized Video as incoming caller ringtone.
Huawei Vlog offers new features and effects for you to edit the video with one simple click. The Highlight videos are automatically edited with dramatic filters with the option to apply special speed effects and background music. You can share your personal cinematic masterpiece easily with the enhanced video editing features. 
Huawei Share OneHop allows for file transfer between Huawei MateBook and Huawei flagship phones on a single tap. Available to flagship series including the Mate 20, P20, Mate 10, P10 and P9 series. 

Performance upgrades all around

EMUI 9.1 brings faster launch times for most popular apps, as well as a new file reading system called EROFS (Extendable Read-Only File System) that provides 20% faster read speed than the EXT4 system leading to better performance, more efficient storage and improved security for system files.

The new version also further streamlines EMUI with simplified UI elements, offering a more intuitive user experience with simpler menus and accessible options.
