After their recent announcement of their new frequency, looks like GMA Network is more serious this year as there's already a name in their upcoming Digital TV (DTV) dongle
It will be called MyGMA Go.
It was revealed in the TV network's recent annual stockholders meeting led by their Chairman and CEO Felipe Gozon
The device will be a digital TV receiver which can be connected to an Android smartphone plus there will be a companion app which they can watch GMA shows plus an Asian telenovela, Korean music, variety, concert and other free-to-air channels in the mix without the need of internet. Once you go online, other features of the device will be open including GMA online video streaming services and sending messages to friends and Kapuso artists
Mr. Gozon also added another info that the said device will be around Php 500 and will work only on smartphones. We are curious on it's possible form factor as it will not be a direct competitor to ABS-CBN TV Plus (which is more suitable for home and for vehicles too) but a potential competitor with MyPhone Digital TV Dongle which almost has the same function at the same or near it's pricing
