Just hours before we meet the next P from Huawei, we think that one of these Mates is still revelant this early 2019 so we present our Huawei Mate 20 review

With it's 4,000 mAh battery inside. Huawei Mate 20 survived in our video battery rundown test at 20 hours and 5 minutes. Used this device as our main driver in heavy usage, we usually got it in around 1 1/2 days
We seen almost 100% of the same functionalities of P20 Pro camera into the Mate 20 and all of the picture modes that we threw in - very good in terms on image quality and color accuracy. No problems whatsoever.
While most in the local tech scene chose the pro version, we are happy on our decision to took some time on the standard version especially with the recent defect issue of some of the displays on Mate 20 Pro which automatically during the weeks that we used the Mate 20 for a number of weeks, no problems whatsover on the display except for the pleasure in our eyes
Huawei Mate 20 is running on EMUI 9 based on Android 9 Pie and not that much changes as we seen compared to EMUI 8.2 . All of our fave features that we loved continues on the said custom OS. Sadly, they still did not bring the LTE toggle button in the pulldown menu. As we used a flagship with Kirin 980 SoC inside, almost all of the apps that we threw in and a number of multi tasking attempts that we did, just nothing on the Mate 20

Right now, Huawei Mate 20 is on Php 35,990 which you will gonna look at the upcoming P30 series with the same processor, it is already a steal and you will be only loosing either the 30x or 50x zoom. Battery life, power, functionality? Huawei Mate 20 was a pretty good choice even for this early 2019. The only "con" that you find for now if you are really that meticulous in the video department (although video is better in here than P20 Pro. For us, it's 4.5 out of 5 for Huawei Mate 20
