Two weekends ago, it was the third Gamecon 2019 that happened organized by Red Wizard Events Technology but it was a different venue compared in the first two years in Megatrade Hall
Instead, they went in the two spaces in the second floor of SMX inside MOA complex. It was an easy comparison compared to the past two years that this year's Gamecon was a lot smaller.
It was smaller in terms of the number of sponsors and partner brands that they got and a number of showcase booths. The space for seats as well as the stage area too but good thing that there were some good tech brands that we took a look
Smart was there to promote their newest Giga related promos and they also ran a Mobile Legends-related promo which they will gonna score some exclusive freebies. College of St Benilde was also there as they are one of the consistent schools that I knew that really producing indie games, this time they went into VR games
There were also some arcade games in there but we missed the people who are always bringing in those old school console games. No separate booth that we seen that focused on mobile games. Lenovo and their PCs were there but what took us some attention is the showcase of AOC and Agon gaming as well as the PC peripherals and gaming chairs that we saw from Sades which they have their hero gaming chair for around Php 15,000 which you will gonna see more of it soon in our separate post
The amount of people was also a bit less compared to the past two years. For us, there were some factors including some events that happened too last April 6 and 7 and especially that another free gaming event (grand finale) that happened in a mall in Marikina City
In terms of orderliness, that's what Gamecon 2019 scored a positive note for us as we got no problems in roaming around the area but we missed the free spaces from the Megatrade Hall which we can rest a bit even for just an indian seat
We love the venue of SMX MOA but we are hoping for more excitement in the next, possible Gamecon in year 2020
