Huawei Y9 2019 Review

It took some delays for us to release our verdict on various events that we grinded in the past few days but for sure, you are waiting for it. Here's our Huawei Y9 2019 review

On the UI, same but not lame EMUI 8.1 custom OS that we seen on the Y9 2019. All of the capabilities that we can do and love on Huawei's custom OS were visible here from various gestures down to our fave part, forced multi-window mode in almost all of the apps that we cna threw in. Kirin 710 SoC and 4 GB RAM seems good enough for multi-tasking as long as you know to watch on the RAM  management. On it's opening minutes, we usually get around "2.6 GB out of 4 GB RAM remaining on the status

We may sound like a broken record but Huawei continues to ace that connectivity department in the Y9 2019. Calls, texts, mobile data, Bluetooth, GPS and OTG were a-ok on this phablet.

On battery, our video battery rundown test give this phone 15 hours and 36 minutes with 25% brightness and sim. Just a bit a few minutes shy on Honor 8X. Using it as our main driver with 6 hours of screen on time and on heavy mode, it was a pretty good 1.25 to 1.5 days of usage

On the camera, it was still the same UI that we seen from various P and Nova smartphone. Only that we can judge are the capacities and capabilites. We love that Y9 2019 has that still usable pro mode. We laid these pics on auto mode and we can tell that it is a lot better in terms of overall quality and color accuracy as to the inconsistent Nova 3i and even some of the 16 to 18k smartphones that we had in almost different lighting situations. The selfie worked fine too in our taste

During the run of our review, this device and the nearest competitor Honor 8X was at the same price at Php 12,990 but in the last minute, Y9 2019 just became Php 11,990 which gives a lil justice for it's half the internal storage capacity at versus the Honor 8X. The pros of it right now as you can still have a decent midrange camera, curvy looks, huge battery and nice display. The cons that I can only tell for now that this phablet may not be for people with small hands and wishing for bit faster charger. It's 4 out of 5 for us on Huawei Y9 2019
