It became available commericially but not that much attention has given to it just yet and Huawei Philippines just gave us the trust to check their biggest device in the Y series
Meet the Huawei Y Max which first appeared in countries like Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Two of it's main headliners were the the big 7.12 inch FHD+ display and Dolby Atmos. This is an automatic good Android phablet (or tablet as it already conquered the 7 inch borderline) for multimedia consumption but this might be a choice for gamers who wants a bigger display, battery and decent processor
This is the front view of the device and as you can see it, that big display comes with a bit bigger notch. The earpiece also acts as a speaker.
What took us is their approach of having faux leather at the back. The one that we had as our review unit is the amber brown which looks classy. The positioning of Huawei branding remind us of their high end phone with that dual main camera, that nicely done stitches and rear fingerprint sensor. The back cover was pretty neat yet secure that we might gonna use this time without protection
The top has the noise cancelling mic and the other side, the speaker, micro USB with Huawei quick charge support and 3.5 mm audio jack
The left side dual nano SIM + micro SD tray while at the right, volume rocker and power/unlock button
The essentials are also in the box like the TPU case, user manual, warranty card, earpjones, cable and 9V 2A charger
Huawei Y Max is currently selling at Php 16,990. As this phone is way beyond the 7-inch marker, I wonder if we can still able to use it as a one-hand device as well as the possibilities of using it as our main driver. Stay tuned to our review soon
