Recognizing the growing interest in professional sports competition across the Southeast Asian Region, innovation leader LG Electronics sponsored this year’s ASEAN Football Federation Under 22 (AFF U22) at Phnom Penh, Cambodia which happened last February 17 to 26.
Dubbed as the AFF U22 LG Cup Championship 2019, the football league returned from a 14-year hiatus, aiming to raise further awareness and appreciation for the sport.

The AFF U22 LG Cup Championship 2019 featured young football players under the age of 22. It included teams from Vietnam, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia, Cambodia and the Philippines, battling it out at into weeks of exciting matches.
“The amount of talent in this year’s AFF U22 LG Cup Championship 2019 is immense. You can see how each team is motivated to show their best and prove their commitment to the sport,” added by Mr. Heo. “We hope that this will serve as a motivation for more football aspirants to join future leagues.”
