We got the verdict on OPPO's most affordable smartphone so far in the country - OPPO A3S
The phone inside has a combo of Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory (we chose this one over the 3 GB RAM/32 GB ROM version at Php 3,000 as the price might be an issue). With Color OS 5.2 inside, it was good enough for navigation and light multi-tasking. Even though that we have a respectable midrange processor, we knew the limits on the given RAM/ROM configuration so we are not advising to put in those heavy apps.
On connectivity, good to know that it never gave us some problems in terms of calls, texts, mobile data, WiFi, OTG and Bluetooth. Hey, there is also a true dual sim support in here
On gaming due to some limitations, we only chose with the likes of Mobile Legends and Asphalt 8 which are the most games that you can maximize at mid graphics settings
On battery life with OPPO A3S was the longest so far that we seen this year with a span of 25 hours and 55 minutes from 100% to 2% in our video battery rundown test. The charging time just gave us some pain with at around 4 hours and 15 minutes with it's provided 5V 1A charger
Talking about a less than 7k smartphone? Well, OPPO A3S gave us some decent results in almost all of the lighting conditions that we had including the selfies which might also contribute to the said processor. Just do not use it in a very dark situation

In extras, good to know that the A3S has good sounding output just like in the budget OPPO smartphones in the past. One of my concerns when we switched to this device as a main driver is the micro SD SDXC version that we are using and good to know that the phone still capable to read our high-capacity memory card
OPPO A3S has been for over a month in the market and it was one of the most decent smartphones that you can buy for under 7k. Some might be concerned on the 2 GB RAM/16 GB ROM configuration but you may have an option to add Php 3,000 for 3 GB RAM/32 GB ROM option. Decent camera, connectivity, processor and long battery life are the strengths of this device. The slow charging and small RAM/ROM choice will be the cons of this device. For this, I will gonna give it a 4 out of 5 for OPPO A3S
