Earlier in their official website, Samsung finally revealed their upcoming high-end processor that might power the upcoming Galaxy S10
Samsung Exynos 9 Series 9820 will have it's on-device AI capabilities, 2 Gbps LTE-A Pro with enhanced NPU. It can also encode and decode 4K video up to 150 fps, 4 x 4 MIMO, 256 QAM and Mali G76 GPU. It is also 40% power efficient versus the previous version and 20% improvement in single-core performance
From a statement by Samsung Electronics VP of System LSI Marketing Ben Hur “As AI-related services expand and their utilization diversify in mobile devices, their processors require higher computational capabilities and efficiency. The AI capabilities in the Exynos 9 Series 9820 will provide a new dimension of performance in smart devices through an integrated NPU, high-performance fourth-generation custom CPU core, 2.0Gbps LTE modem and improved multimedia performance.”
Samsung Exynos 9820 is expected for mass production at the end of 2018
