Not All Buses At Araneta Bus Port Support GCash, Paymaya QR, Other Payment Options

In two separate months, known local QR payment solution methods like GCash and Paymaya released their own news last June and August 2018 of the news that you can now use their payment solutions to buses at the newly-established Araneta Bus Port in Cubao, Quezon City but there are two words missing in the news that I seen online using the friendly Google search

Like in most of our #RNTDFirst , no one gave me a tip about this. It happened last September 22, 2018 in the late afternoon as I planned to go to Tanauan City via KL CNG Bus, the only bus line that serves the destination on Pres. Jose Laurel Highway for Sto. Tomas, Tanauan, Malvar and some parts of Lipa City. The rest of the Batangas-bound buses there either going straight to Batangas Pier or Lipa Bus Stop and then Batangas Pier.

Like what I already said, I knew the news so I used the most convenient QR-based solution (in terms of cash-in payments and the cashbacks that I am getting lately) Gcash QR but unfortunately, the teller told me that the said payment for the said bus line which is kinda weird. I'm forced to pay the Php 117 fare via cash

A few days after, I sent an email from their contact us from the Araneta Bus Port which redirects to the Araneta Group website. I took me almost three weeks to get an answer from them as I needed to do some phone calls and the person-in-charge needed to seek my inquiries to the proper department.

One of the unnamed customer service representatives sent us an email. Their response: First they apologized for the inconvenience that we had and revealed that not just GCash QR but also Paymaya QR and credit/debit card payments are not accepted so far by KL CNG Transport. Rest assured that thy will gonna extend my concern to the said bus line to enroll in the system.

Those two words that are missing from those news and sad to say, NOT ALL buses support those payment options. I hope that KL CNG will look up into this very soon especially that the Christmas season is now up and going in their buses will be a norm soon and also a clarification from those news that we seen online. Also to the people behind those said payment options to have a proper coordination with the said bus company. Those two important, missing words almost did not brought me to my destination last September 22 (if I do not have that extra money)
