Almost a month ago, we asked from one of Solar Entetainment Corp. officials on the possible first OTA update on their own Easy TV Super Digibox from our previous article and made their promise possible
As early as 6 pm last night, Easy TV made their first-ever OTA update which we hope will fix some of the main issues of the said DTV box incliuding ther random freeze and might-be some enhancements too
So the pictures above are what to expect before and during the update which is not limited to NCR users but might be depending on the DTV box version that you got. We had the first version and we were somewhere in Sto Tomas, Batangas when we did the OTA update. Of course, you must put the plug properly and press ok when the box asked for the update. It will give you between 5 to 7 minutes and be sure you have enough signal to do it.
So far since we did the update last night, no more issues so far on the freeze thing. We noticed that after the update, you will now gonna see the Easy TV logo upon boot up. All of the 15 Solar channels from Ch. 1 to 15 already have Easy TV watermark on the left upper corner of the screen (maybe to prevent piracy as you know it, you can record shows) . Their logo is also visible in all available channel labels. Good thing on the EPG menu, we can now see the ongoing show on the background. Before, it was all black but we noticed that the loading of EPG for schedule always took a while. Still, the one from TV Plus was a lot faster. If there's one not-that-good thing after the update, the texts were not on the center position
We are looking forward to more OTA updates soon as well as the clarification of the possible pricing of their premium channels after the 1-year free subscription. As far as we know, there were people who already bought this as early as May or June 2018
